How It Works
The Handy Panda follows a structured, site-specific approach to ensure safe, effective, and environmentally responsible land management. Every project is planned with the land, livestock, and client goals in mind.
Step 1: Initial Contact
Start by reaching out through our website or email to tell us about your property and land management needs. We’ll discuss your goals, location, and whether targeted grazing is a good fit for your site.
This initial conversation helps set expectations and determine next steps.
Step 2: On-Site Assessment
All grazing projects begin with an on-site assessment. This visit allows us to:
Evaluate vegetation type and density
Review terrain, access points, and safety considerations
Determine livestock needs and fencing layout
Identify environmental sensitivities
Following the assessment, we provide a customized grazing plan with a clear scope, timeline, and pricing estimate.
Step 3: Customized Grazing Plan
Each property receives a grazing plan tailored to its specific conditions and management goals. Plans consider:
Seasonal vegetation growth
Project size and duration
Animal welfare and biosecurity
Landowner priorities and long-term outcomes
This ensures grazing is effective while protecting soil, wildlife, and surrounding ecosystems.
Step 4: Installation & Grazing
Once scheduled, we install portable electric fencing and place livestock on-site. During the project, animals are:
Monitored regularly for health and safety
Moved or adjusted as needed to meet grazing goals
Managed in accordance with ethical animal care standards
Clients are asked to keep pets and visitors away from fenced areas during active grazing.
Step 5: Monitoring & Completion
Throughout the project, we monitor progress and make adjustments as needed. Once grazing goals are met:
Livestock and fencing are removed
The site is reviewed for results
Post-grazing recommendations may be provided for continued land health
Targeted grazing focuses on vegetation control and long-term improvement, not instant cosmetic results. Regrowth management may require follow-up grazing in future seasons.
What to Expect
A professional, agricultural service
Clear communication from start to finish
Ethical livestock management
Measurable vegetation reduction
Environmentally responsible outcomes
Planning Ahead
Targeted grazing is seasonal and demand is limited by livestock availability. We encourage early planning, especially for spring and summer projects.
If you’re considering grazing services, contact us early to discuss availability and scheduling.
